LIFE IN LAYERS

These paintings are extremely important to me.  The process of layering paint and paper on canvas, and then peeling back to reveal what lies beneath is equally exciting and therapeutic.  I wanted to communicate change, movement and transformation.  The colours are vibrant, yet warm and cool at the same time.  Straight lines and curves contrast each other.  They are paintings of nature, where undeniable contrasts exist.  They are, even more, paintings of emotions where contradictions and conflicts lie.  All of the paintings in this collection are intuitive and current.
